Our Work
We have:
- Adapted Hsieh and Moretti (2019) general equilibrium model to provide the first quantification of the costs of UK housing restrictions. We further estimate population changes following deregulation, showing an 11.7% welfare loss from current policies (Our research was featured in The Times, and endorsed by Sir Brandon Lewis, the former UK Housing Minister)
- Estimated revenues worth 3% of GDP from moving to visa auctions for skilled workers for the Adam Smith Institute
- Quantified organ shortage costs and proposed innovative solutions like incentives and allocation schemes (highlighted in Marginal Revolution, the world’s most popular economics blog)
- Advised the United Nations Secretary-General on governing foundational AI systems.
